OUR PRIMARY OBJECTIVE
My Trees goal is a reduction in the rate of natural woodland loss in Zimbabwe, in order to preserve biodiversity at scale within threatened landscapes.
OUR APPROACH
We work towards the goal of reducing natural woodland loss by following three interwoven community focussed strands of activity.

REPLANTING
areas that have seen significant deforestation with suitable indigenous trees.

PROTECTING
large tractsof intact wilderness within Zimbabwe.

PROVIDING ALTERNATIVE
technologies and fuels that improve livelihoodsand reduce pressure on local ecosystems.

RESTORATION
- Over 2 million trees planted since we were established.
- 40 nurseries established and operational across Zimbabwe.
- Combined seedling capacity of 1 million seedlings across all nurseries.
- 76% average survival rate of planted trees.
- Over 2,000 contracted growers.
- 100 employees in the Restoration Department.
BIODIVERSITY & ECOSYSTEM SERVICES
- 3,000 snares removed in conservation areas.
- 130 km of twine nets removed from Lake Kariba.
- Over 6,000 km of patrols conducted in protected areas.
- Over 17,000 km of fence patrols undertaken.
- Elephant-proof fence operational every day of the year.
- 25 HWC incidents recorded.
STOVE DISTRIBUTION
- 120,000 stoves distributed across the country.
- 800,000 tonnes of CO2 emissions (tC02e) reduced.
